HOME JACKET

JOE AL DACCACHE

Home is Where Mother is

‘Home is Where Mother is’ is a collection that draws inspiration from the Spanish movie by Pedro Almodovar, "*All about my mother," focusing on the connection between home and motherhood. The film presents an "Almodovarian" style in an eclectic, colorful, and vibrant manner, reinforcing the emotions of every character and the director's personal experience of losing a mother.  Renne Dick, a Lebanese actress who fiercely pursued her destiny in her career, resembled an actress in this movie, "Huma Rojo," who shared the same goals and exemplified true motherhood.

Using techniques such as patchwork, quilting, and draping, this collection serves as an illustration of the concept of motherhood and home, translating into "home-inspired" silhouettes and feminine geometric structures in a palette of deep, potent colors dominated by red.

Feral Hearts

Feral Hearts is a collection that celebrates the wilderness and animal instinct that reside in all humans, and the adventures that teach one to be in touch with the magic of being. Prominent in the collection is the technique of slashing, which produces a heavy, raw effect, like ravaged fur or wild animal skins. The color story is earthy, scattered with pop colors, reflecting light in the darkness, hope and wonder. A block print reminiscent of animal silhouettes also runs throughout the collection.
